Your recipe reminded me of Babette's Feast (the film based on a book). The religious community were very strict and mainly lived on bread soup (not seasoned such as yours).
Babette slowly adds seasonings to the soup and then there is that whole feast she eventually prepares for them... a beautiful story that shows us God loves beauty (and good seasoning). ;)

I stayed here some years ago for a retreat, i remember the fantastic peace of the place!!!!
